Thank you for being here

We are Nicole and Ulises, the grown-ups over at Iyari Play

We have been working really hard to create and cultivate these play spaces and learning experiences for the children in our community.

Meet Nicole

Hi there.
I’m Nicole and Ive been working alongside children for most of my life.

Whether I was volunteering at school events, face-painting in the park, lifeguarding at the local pool, working as a nanny, being with children has always been part of my life. It was certainly what led me to become an educator and eventually a mother.

As an adult, I have had the honor to collaborate professionally with many creative, educational projects over the past 20 years.

I’ve spent many years in event coordinating and community outreach initiatives. Anywhere from weddings to fundraisers, urban art festivals, group volunteer projects, in-person creative workshops, pop-up events and more.  My diverse event experience helps me immensely when coordinating collective activities and groups of children.

My family and I are passionate about our connection to nature and cultivate that connection with the families we work with.

Meet Ulises

I am a professional photographer by trade, with a diverse portfolio.  I studied and began my career in Mexico City, working in commercial and fashion photography for almost 10 years.

When I moved to the Bay of Banderas region, I spent 6 years as an adventure and sport photography manager for the tour company, Vallarta Adventures. Being in this destination opened me to weddings, lifestyle/vacation portrait sessions and real estate projects. I started my independent practice in 2011, with a focus on destination photography and have been creating in that direction ever since.

I have also been sharing creative workshops with children and young adults for 20+ years. I enjoy practicing the mediums of clay sculpting, woodwork, paper mache and the visual arts.

I enjoy working with horses and have been riding and working with them since I was a child, even had my own pony as a kid! For that reason, I gifted my children their 1st pony in 2019, Falkor.
